Parramatta Artists Studios Creative Fellowship

The applications for this grant will open Monday, 13th January 2025, 6AM and close on Tuesday, 4th March 2025, 11.59PM.

 

The City of Parramatta Artists Studios Creative Fellowship Fund is thrilled to support the creation of new work and the professional growth of Parramatta’s talented artists and creative workers. Each year, one exceptional artist is awarded this unique opportunity.

Presented as part of the Parramatta Artists Studios initiative by the City of Parramatta Council, this Fellowship is open to creatives across all art forms, including music, sculpture, dance, painting, writing/literature, theatre, design, film/video and digital media.

The objectives of the Fellowship are:

Objective 1: Provide an opportunity for a professional artist or creative worker at a transformative stage of their career to develop their practice in the Parramatta region

Objective 2: Facilitate connection to the local community and/or explore the identity of Parramatta through the development and presentation of new works and/or ideas

Objective 3: Foster research and experimentation, and contribute to the development of Western Sydney's dynamic arts ecology

Program timelines

This program is open once a year. For our 2025 round, all projects must start after July 1, 2025. Successful recipients in this category are required to:

  • Complete their projects within 12 months of funding.
  • Submit a progress report within 6 months of commencement of project.
  • Submit a final acquittal report due date 30th July 2026 (following year)

Failure to acquit the grant will affect any future funding requests.
