Transport, congestion and getting around were identified as one of the top three concerns for our community, and we are committed to improving it in a sustainable way.
Sustainable transport options such as walking and cycling will help overcome our geographic dispersion while improving health, increasing equity through increased low cost travel options, reducing congestion, heat from car exhausts and carbon emissions.
The City of Parramatta is planning to deliver active transport infrastructure through the release of the Parramatta Bike Plan and the Parramatta Ways Walking Strategy.

The Duck River Nature Trail will provide our community with 4.5km of fully-accessible pedestrian and cycling paths, allowing everyone to explore the Duck River foreshore on both sides of the river and enjoy its natural and cultural attractions. Last year, we asked you to provide feedback on designs for Stage 1 (Silverwater Park). It’s time to look at Stage 2 (upgrades to Silverwater streets).
